The challenge
During the second half of 2023 and in the first months of 2024, xpd global was invited to participate in another stage of expansion of their plant located in Toluca (State of Mexico, MX).
The company’s strategy is to produce greater volumes and thereby increase its exports to Central and South American countries.
xpd global had to design a plan to support their growth, transporting the 4 complete production lines –in the specific deadlines required by their strategic area– at the same time we had to support them with import of inputs and export of finished product, in highly time-sensitive food and beverage logistics operations.
The solution
Our xpd global teams worked to secure air and sea space for six months, to supply all the machinery and spare parts needed to install their production lines successfully, effectively coordinating with shippers –from Italy, China and Turkey– the availability and transport of cargo.

The key to success was working very closely with the customer’s logistics specialists, previously reviewing as a team the timeframe when the cargo would be available and the timeframe it should arrive at its destination, to design precise options.
With timely follow-up during tracking, from pickup to delivery to their warehouse, our teams were ready and attentive to notify them of any shipment deviation or unexpected issue during transport.
